Yeah.. it seems to be the case here.
And seems like many have some sort of issues when they use phpBB & WP at the same time.

Certainly because they are not each in a folder, for a forum I use WP and phpBB, they are in separate folders and everything goes well.

And like I said, I think that person's problem was their host. Not due to how their folders are structured, especially since it appears that he is being hacked, which seems to indicate that the host does not have the web servers in a secure environment. I doubt it is an exploit in phpBB or WordPress either that is causing that particular issue.
