"Demolition Man" mostly shows us social part while Cyberpunk is pointing at so called new species, but yeah.. i agree.
Only tech that seems interesting to me is full dive VR like in for example Sword art Online anime.

Agreed 100%.
As for Virtual Reality, it is cool. I just hope that it is used responsibly when it is adopted en mass. As a cool gaming platform not a full on supplement for real life.
