Code that people get from AI may be good as independent, but it may not fit into platforms.
Maybe paid version can solve that issue.. i'm not sure about it, but at the same time i do not deny that possibility.

Hehe.. someone named Andy started AI bot extension development)
Is it worth it or not.. hard to say, but possibly there are some who would like it & vice versa.

Sounds worthwhile if the bot knows how phpBB works and can add useful functionality to it.

I'm not sure if I would trust AI bots at this stage though.

I don't think that its priority is phpBB.. That extension should have same functionality as AI has on official site.
Free version of AI isn't as useful as paid version.. In other words.. it will be limited.

As he isn't using github.. i wont take a look at the code nor will i test it.

If it would be similar to Jarvis from Ironman, then it would be awesome. I guess it will happen sooner or later.

AI is cool, but I don't think there are any phpBB problems that it is needed for, unless the subject of the board is that very AI solution.

It is revolutionary - or at least it will be - but not for phpBB.

But yeah, Jarvis would be cool anywhere, so maybe that would be the appeal in the next few decades.

I guess purpose of that extension is to provide same functionality as on main/official GPT site - QA session)
It doesn't benefit to phpBB itself.. it's just an integration of one tool into another.

I don't expect this to happen any time soon, but I wonder if such a thing would be coding extensions in the next decade.

Even though I am kind of a Luddite when it comes to AI, so I kind of hope not. While it may be true that it cannot be stopped, I'm not in favor of skilled human tasks being automated to that extent.

There are more issues that losing a job.. Biggest issue will be laziness.
To be honest.. people are already lazy (not all of course), but automated life will make it even worse.

I do not think that people have reached their limit.. In other words.. If AI will automate some fields, then humans can create new fields.

Depends on how sophisticated AI will get.

If it gets to the point where it can accomplish any task and think critically, it may be able to automate jobs before people are needed for them.

I never thought I would see an AI writing useful scripts until I heard of ChatGPT. I can easily see something like phpBB taken over development wise by such a program in the future.

Biggest issue if if an AI can advance to the point where it can make needed changes to itself, in that case, joblessness will be the issue. Just as bad as laziness.
